‘MASQUE DE FEMME’ & ‘PERLES’ JEWELLERY BOXES from LALIQUE by LINLEY – LIMITED EDITION – 99 pieces
British design company LINLEY and French ‘sculpteurs de lumière’ LALIQUE have joined forces to create a unique, limited edition collection of jewellery boxes launching in both LINLEY and LALIQUE stores this spring. The boxes will also be available from LINLEY at Harrods. Marking the first collaboration between the two brands, the boxes epitomise the expertise of both: the fine work of LALIQUE crystal combined with LINLEY signature precious woods utilising the techniques of marquetry and inlay.
There are two boxes in the collection – The ‘Masque de Femme’ Jewellery Box & the ‘Perles’ Jewellery Box:
Made in Macassar ebony covered with vellum, the ‘Masque de Femme’ Jewellery Box is embellished with the iconic LALIQUE Masque de Femme motif, originally created by René Lalique in 1935 to adorn a fountain. It reveals the face of an enigmatic woman with delicate features surrounded by aquatic fauna. Twenty flower shaped crystals echo the beauty of this inlaid panel which is symbolic of the imaginative vision of its creator, who drew inspiration from both feminine and natural forms.

The ‘Perles’ Jewellery Box contrasts the smooth satin-finish of LALIQUE crystal with the high gloss ebonised maple wood signature of LINLEY.
