Montblanc, founded by Claus-Johannes Voss, Alfred Nehemias and August Eberstein in 1906, as an up-market pens in the Schanzen district of Hamburg. The German manufacturer, nowadays, produces writing instruments, watches, jewelry and leather goods.

In 1924, Montblanc released it’s export collection, Meisterstück, meaning Masterpiece, for the top lines of fountain pens. Today, Montblanc is part of the Richemont group, owned by the South African Rupert Family belonging in the same group as its sister luxury brands such as Cartier and Chloé.
