Hidden Pond, a 60-acre resort nestled in the picturesque town of Kennebunkport, Maine, reopened on May 13 with 20 new cottages for a total of 34. Rates range from $425 to $985 per night. Surrounded by woods and water, each cottage has indoor and outdoor showers, a screened porch, a stone fireplace, private grills, and morning breakfast baskets delivered to the door. In addition to Hidden Pond’s personal dining options, the new alfresco restaurant, Earth, features favorites like heirloom radishes with oysters and salsa verde, and Maine lobster with green curry butter and grilled lemon. The menu is composed of produce picked from Hidden Pond’s on-site organic farm, paired with locally acquired seafood and meats.
The resort’s farm also provides ingredients for signature spa treatments at the newly added Tree Spa, which features tree house–style rooms eight feet off the ground. Activities include flower- and vegetable-picking on the farm, complimentary beach cruiser bikes, art classes, morning yoga and tai chi in the garden, lobster boat tours of the river, and kayak trips to the Cape Porpoise islands.
