For more than ten years the luxury cars’ manufacturer Rolls Royce has stuck with a single theme when it comes to naming new models of car – Phantom, Ghost and Wraith.
But for 2016 Rolls Royce is breaking the tradition of naming their cars after supernatural beings with a throwback to a favourite from the 1950s. The name of Rolls Royce new model, ‘Dawn’, is a reedition of 1952 Silver Dawn convertible.

The Rolls Royce Chief Executive Officer said “Our new Rolls-Royce Dawn promises a striking, seductive encounter like no other Rolls-Royce to date”. “It will be the most social of super-luxury motor cars for those beautiful people who wish to bathe in the sunlight of the world’s social hotspots.”
Dawn will likely feature sleek modern design, but the promotional pictures featuring the Silver Dawn model suggest there will be a nod to classic designs of the past.
The new model will go on sale early next year and is expected to have a price tag approaching £250,000.
