It’s Monday and you must get back to work. Is it boring? Not in Mondays of July and August. This festival provides you a feature film in the nights of Manhattan, so the dark can give that cinema atmosphere. Some examples of this years’ movies are The Karate Kid, The Shining and Blazing Saddles to National Lampoon’s Vacation. This peculiar stage struggles to “enrich the lives of New Yorkers”. Emerging, contemporary, and traditional artists in an array of genres, from dance to music to drama to literature are on… stage. During 16 days of August, North America’s largest multi-arts festival will take over the city’s small theaters. Emerging playwrights and performers will have their opportunity to show New York about 1200 shows, from more than 200 companies! Urinetown, a musical that went to Broadway, and Matt & Ben, a satirical play about Matt Damon and Ben Affleck that helped launch the career of Mindy Kaling, started their career here. Don’t miss it, from August 8 through August 24.
